Bunny Math

Here's  a fun spring activity for story problems.  We did both subtraction and addition story problems and then decided which one we wanted to "publish".

To make the bunny, simply get a LOT of paper plates.  The head is a small paper plate.  The body is a large paper plate.  The ears are a large paper plate cut in half.  Eyes are big googly eyes, although kids could draw them on white paper and cut them out.  For the nose, we used leftover Valentine foam hearts.  I colored paper and cut out whiskers to match the nose.  We drew the mouth once the paint was dry.
We painted cardstock and cut out arms (glued on accordian style to stick out) and a little cottontail.
Isn't it darling?
